Helsinki Coffee Festival will be using Green Cup's reusable cups this year.

The event visitors will receive a reusable cup for a deposit, which they can exchange for a clean one at the event's info points. Our aim with this is to minimize the amount of waste generated from disposable cups. 

The deposit system for cups will be organized by the event organizer, so the exhibitors do not need to order these cups for their stand. There will be several points at the event where visitors can get and exchange cups. Deposit payment and return will be handled by the event organizer. 

However, exhibitors should still have bio-degradable disposable cups available at the event. 

This is our first trial of reusable cups, and therefore, we cannot estimate their demand accurately. This marks our first step towards a disposable utensil-free event. We welcome all feedback during and after the event and will work on improving the solution for future years. 

We are testing the system with cups this year, and hopefully, we can expand this type of solution to the Ice Cream and Chocolate Carnival in the coming years.
