Kaffa Roastery aims to make use of the entire coffee cherry, not just the beans, which is why the company developed the Kili coffee cherry energy drink. Using coffee grounds as your medium, you’re invited to create simple shapes, patterns, or abstract forms through touch and movement.

You can follow your own imagination or use visual prompts for guidance. The process is slow and repetitive: create, pause, wipe the surface, and begin again. Nothing is saved, the focus is on the act of creating, not the outcome.

In a fast-paced world, Grounded offers a simple way to pause, reconnect with your senses, and explore creativity without pressure.

This was the case for Hanna Malkila, whose passion for coffee led to the creation of a small but bean-filled coffee roastery last November, called Pikkupaahtimo Pipa.
