The festival's resident DJ Nikolucky plays atmospheric music from around the world on Friday and Sunday: few styles and directions for selections are loungy Balearic downtempo, Asian fusion melodies, African rhythms, tropical Caribbean and all things Latin America. Sound which is guaranteed to bring out all the aromas from coffee, tea, ice cream and chocolate experiences enjoyed at the Cable Factory!
DJ Nikolucky will spin vinyls at festival on Friday from 10AM to 2PM and Sunday from 10AM to 12PM and 4PM to 6PM.
Is the future of coffee growing in a labroratory? VTT's Research Team Leader Dr. Heiko Rischer will share the latest findings.
Rischer has developed beanless coffee at the VTT laboratory in Otaniemi, Espoo. The research group has been working for the past few years to bypass the coffee bush and especially its fruit in coffee production.
Dr. Heiko Rischer is a Research Team Leader for Plant Biotechnology at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd. and an Adjunct Professor in Pharmaceutical Biology at the University of Helsinki. His current research focus is on the development of plant cell cultures for sustainable food production (Cellular Agriculture).

Academic background: Kaisu Riihinen has a scientific expertise in berry flavonoids and phenolics
Industry experience: Kaisu Riihinen worked for ten years in private sector including the food industry and the regulatory consultancy. During those years she developed a novel food ingredient from scratch and applied for the required novel food authorization for the product.
Current role: Kaisu Riihinen and her colleagues are involved in transforming the food system with innovative solutions at VTT.

Matias is a coffee professional who has worked in the customer service and specialty coffee industry for over ten years. Currently, he runs a company in the coffee event industry (Viva La Coffee - barista aid and events) and works as Procoffee's head barista.
Matias is one of the judges of filter coffee, decaf coffee and kombucha of the year competition.
